of California, Berkeley, this collection contains more than 10,000 images of earthquake damage
from around the world collected by Professor Karl V. Steinbrugge(KVS), Jan T. Kozak Collection
Presently maintained by the Earthquake Engineering Research Center Library, University of
California, Berkeley, this collection contains 875 illustrations of damage from historical
earthquake around the world, collected by Dr. Jan T. Kozak (Institute of Rock Structures and
Mechanics, Prague) and Katherine Frohmberg (University of California, Berkeley)(JTK).
Indian News papers, Various Journals have published the damagr photgraphs.
Apart from this NGRI Scientist teams, GSI, CESS and various universities have
also collected number of damage photgraphs. Recent Tsunami of 26 Dec 2004 was
vediographed in Sri Lanka by Mr. Sudhaker. The same is donated by him to Sharr Center, Hyderabad.
