This event was felt throughout the city of Secoderabad in the year 1876. The date of occurrence is not known. It caused general alarm, glass panes were broken in some of the houses, a number of sparrows found dead after the earthquake. Barracks in cantonment area were more or less in an oscillating condition. Based on the earthquake effects Srivastava and Ramachandran (1985) assigned the intensity of VI MM. The epicentral location is determined based on the macroseismic data which is 17.5N, 78.5E.
